He is survived by: his wife Lela Ann Washam (Byrd); his children, Johnny Scott Washam and Velinda Ann Bischoff (Robert); his grandsons, Brandon Michael Stanton, Brady Andrew Stanton and Derek Robert Bischoff; his sister Mae Burchfield of Oneida, Tennessee; and his siblings-in-law, Tom Byrd (Billie) of Midway, Leslie Byrd of Oneida, Chester Byrd (Jolene) of Cincinnati, Gary Byrd (Sheila) of Pioneer, Tennessee and Reeda Byrd of Huntsville, Tennessee..
