We announce the death of Richard A. Kurlich (Amherst, Ohio), who passed away on August 9, 2026, at the age of 85. Richard will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his parents, Ellen Kurlich and Richard Sr. Kurlich; and his daughter Patricia Small. He is survived by: his wife Urte; his children, Rich Kurlich (Diane) of Twin Lakes, Mike Kurlich (Jackie) of Noblesville, Indiana, Teresa Powell of Canonsburg, Pennsylvania and Jeff Kurlich (Beth) of Westfield, Indiana.; his siblings, Susan Kurlich of Fairlawn, Jennifer Carillon of Richmond, Virginia and Stephen Kurlich of Akron; his grandchildren, Matthew, Bryan, Heather, Kristen, Nicole, Richie, Andrew and J. P.; his niece Kate Carillon; his stepson Marc Wenzel (Dianne) of Vancouver; his son-in-law Dennis Small; and his grandchildren, Lexie and Ava.
