He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Kompare Jr. and Anne Kompare Coyle; his siblings, Gerald and Jacqueline King; and his brothers-in-law, Jack King and Mike Plato.

He is survived by: his sister Karen Plato; and his nieces, Michelle Easton (Jim) and Leslie King.
