With sadness, we share the passing of Russell Alan Montgomery of Amherst, Ohio. Russell, born on November 16, 1941 in Memphis, Tennessee, passed away on July 27, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his wife Sheila Marguerite Montgomery; and his parents, Russell J. Montgomery and Thelma Faye Montgomery. He is survived by: his children, Ralph Bruening (Carol) of Lorain, Josh Montgomery of Parma, Barbara Malham of South Amherst, Susan Bruening (Khalid Nooh) of Amherst, Debra Persichilli of Hornell, Carol Lukes (Craig) of Amherst and Judy Capparelli (Mark) of Garner, NC; and his brother Harold Montgomery (Rachel) of Sylva, NC.. He is also survived by 10 grandsons and 1 granddaughter and 12 great-grandchildren.
The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to St. Jude's Childrens Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
