We are sad to announce that, on April 19, 2025, at the age of 101, Irene Catherine (Kolinski) Marx of Amsterdam, Ohio passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Lawrence Kolinski and Hedwig Kolinski; her husband Arthur; her siblings, Bill Kolinski and Jane Petee; and her daughter-in-law Mary Diessler Marx.

She is survived by: her caregivers, Ronda, Mary Lynn, Amy and Betty; her sister Joan Rohen; her children, Peter Marx (Patricia), Steven Marx (Stacey), Jane Evans (Robert), Martha Stan (William) and Mary Donnelly (Kevin); and her grandchildren, Patrick Marx, Sarah Calabrese (Anthony), Cate Marx-Bodie, Brian Marx, Laura Marx-West (Richard), Julie Marx-Dunning (Nick), Irene Fitzgerald, Joshua Evans (Elaine), Emily Valot (Joshua), Michael Evans (Stefanie) and Leslie Kungl (Fred). She is also survived by 18 great-grandchildren.

Donations in her honor may be made to her favorite religious order who doted on her at first Saturday devotions and pot luck.
