It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Dorothy Opat in Andover, Ohio, who passed away on July 15, 2025, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her mother Marion Howser (Johnson); her son Richard Rittinger; her great grandchild Jamaica Jones; and her siblings, Jesse, Herbert "Hoover", James "Big Jim", Robert "Bobby", Samuel, Marie "Sis", Viola "Vy", Lucille, Ruthie and Nancy.
She is survived by: her husband John William Opat; her children, Yvonne M. Quinn (Phil), Amanda L. Cunningham (Michael), Vivian L. Buterbaugh, Crystal Church (Troy) and Donald Church, Jr. (Becky); and her stepchildren, Lisa Uhrin (Joe) and Johnny Opat. She is also survived by 18 grandchildren; 53 great grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
