He was predeceased by: his parents, Rebecca Geraldine (Lively) and Francis Ervin Gordon; his siblings, Marvin, Byron Gordon, Marie Toadvine, Mary Gutreuter and Robyn Cochrane; his sister-in-law Carolyn Cutlip (Harry); his son-in-law Karl Evans; and his nephews, Keith Gutreuter and Ervin Toadvine.
He is survived by: his wife Rita H. Gordon of Andover, Ohio; his children, Joel E. Gordon (Jeannette) of Willoughby, Ohio and Amber L. Evans of Greene, Ohio; his sister Elva Inselmann (Howard) of Lincoln, Illinois; his brothers-in-law, Tom Salo (Patricia) of Lakewood and Harry Cutlip of Kings Mountain; his grandchildren, Brooke, Blake, Abigail and Anna; and his great grandchild Khaza.
