He was predeceased by : his parents, James Moorey, and Phyllis Moorey, Sr. (Smart); and his siblings, Patti Campbell, Diane Sherman, Diana Moorey, Buddy Moorey and Robert Moorey.

He is survived by : his siblings, Bill Moorey, Lynne Harr and Bettie-Lou Werner; and his nieces and nephews, Scott, Dalin, Jesse, Kimberly, Brittany, Duston, Jamie and Nick.
