Though her name may fade from the lips of time, the imprint Shirley Ann leaves upon the hearts of her loved ones remains eternally vivid — a testament to the depth of her spirit and the richness of her legacy.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Francis Wilson and Bessie Wilson (Kelly); her husband Kenneth Thurber; and her sister Debra Wilson. She is survived by: her brother Robert Wilson (Nona) of Newark, Delaware; and her sons, Bruce Thurber (Cathy) of Evans, Georgia, David Thurber (Kathy) of Sidney, Ohio, Ronald Thurber (Carol) of Anna, Ohio and Darryl Thurber (Danielle) of Sidney, Ohio.. She is also survived by nine grandchildren and eighteen great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Wilson Health Hospice or Catholic Social Services of Miami Valley.

“Aunt Kathy told me today that Aunt Shirley had passed. I didn't get to talk with her much over the last several years but I thought of her (and Uncle Ken) often and will continue to do so. The one thing I that I remember best about Aunt Shirley was her hugs. It didn't matter what was going on in your life, when Aunt Shirley wrapped you in a hug you felt loved. She had a heart and a laugh as big as all outdoors and I'm happy (but sad) she is with Uncle Ken again. Love you all - Michelle Joyner”
