He was predeceased by : his parents, Bertha Mae (Langston) and Charles Glen Jones; his sisters, Norma Lothamer, Betty Harpel and Phyllis Blevins; and his grandson Stephen Jones.

He is survived by : his wife Marilyn (Thatcher); and his children, Edward Jones (Kathy), Vicki Miller (Marvin), Michael Jones, Linda Thorp (Gene) and Donald Jones (Kathryn). He is also survived by 13 grandchildren; 29 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren.
