He was predeceased by: his parents, Elihue Couch and Emma Laura Couch Jr. (Davis); and his siblings, Mildred Wathen and David Couch Sr.. He is survived by: his wife Michelle Couch (Gearhart); his sons, Patrick Couch (Courtney) of Arcanum, Zachary Couch of Arcanum and Eric Couch of Arcanum; his grandchildren, Denver and Aspen Couch; his sister Stacy Bolton (Joe); and his brother-in-law William Wathen. He is also survived by many uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins.
