Phyllis Garber Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Phyllis Garber (Arcanum, Ohio), born in Rossville, Indiana, who passed away on September 11, 2025 at the age of 91. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Clarence Rule and Hazel Rule (Butler); her husband Robert Garber; her parents-in-law, John and Pauline Garber; her stepfather-in-law Andrew Gascho; her brother Claredon Rule; and her siblings-in-law, Omar, Delores Yoder, Irvin, Betty Jackson, Raymond, Marilyn Gascho, Keith and Norma Wagoner.
She is survived by: her sons, Curt (Joyce) and Bruce (Jackie); her grandchildren, Miranda (Travis Baker), Brian (Jenae), Ross (Tabi), Monica, Mary and Emily (Luke Whalen); her great grandchildren, Tessa, Kassidy, Kash, Marissa Baker, Quinter, Victor, Zaida, Lena Garber, Ryder, Brexley Garber, Wrigley and Crosley Whalen; and her sister-in-law Sharon Rule (Laura Lah).
Visitation was held on Wednesday, September 17th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the Painter Creek Old German Baptist Brethren Church (2998 Schnorf-Jones Rd, Arcanum, OH 45304). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, September 17th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
