He was predeceased by : his parents, Samuel Beck and Fannie Beck (Grieser); his siblings, Paul Beck, Harold Beck, Chauncey Beck and Ruth Ann Oyer; and his siblings-in-law, Lou Ann Beck of Archbold, Ohio., Kenneth Grime, Jim Oyer and Max Short.

He is survived by : his children, Linda Funk (Larry) of Wauseon and Larry Beck of Christchurch; his wife Ruth Beck (Huffman); his grandchildren, Tricia Dunn (Jeff) of Nashville, TN and Ashley Funk of Fort Worth, TX.; and his great grandchild Rhys Dunn of Nashville, TN..

Memorial contributions may be made in Mr. Beck's honor to the endowment fund of the Archbold United Methodist Church and Archbold Area Foundation.
