He was predeceased by: his parents, Elias Frey and Katherine Frey (Eicher); his brother Ron Frey; his brothers-in-law, Stace Stegman and Ronnie Van Horn; and his nephew Rod Frey.
He is survived by: his wife Joyce D. Oyer; his sons, Mark Frey and Kevin Frey (Lindsay); his granddaughters, Lydia, Jade and Violet; his siblings, Roger "Butch" Frey (Sharon), Carol "Suz" Wirick (Clint), Mary Wyse, Jane Tomson (Jim), Sandra Frey Stegman, Rebecca Van Horn (Becki) and Patricia Frey; and his sister-in-law Faith Frey. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
