He was predeceased by: his father Donald Young; his brother Paul Young; and his brother-in-law John Grieser. He is survived by: his nieces, Natalie Grieser (Jason Moore) and Andrea Tijerina (Brandon); his brother Donald Young (Sheryl) of Franklin, Tennessee; and his nieces and nephews, Donnie Young (Ann), Danny Young (Sidney), Stacy Lammers (Eric), Jason Young of Arizona and Lynn Hurt (Dail) of South Carolina.

The family suggests that memorials be given to St. Peter Catholic Church.
