He was predeceased by: his parents, Orval Allen and Martha Allen (Wood); and his siblings, Nancy and Jimmy. He is survived by: his wife Caroline Allen (Baughman); his children, Lisa Hixenbaugh (Scott) of Romney, Ron Allen Jr. (Julie) of Forest, Libby Martin (Michael) of Dayton, Ohio and Carrie Inmon Sturgill (Ian) of Fairborn, Ohio; his brother Roger Allen of Lima, Ohio.; his grandchildren, Alyssa Hixenbaugh, Jeffrey Hixenbaugh (Rebecca) and Cole Allen (Kenzie Piper); and his great grandchildren, Dutcher Hixenbaugh, Isabella Allen, Laila, Isaiah and Mika Massey. He is also survived by many extended family members and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Ron's honor to the Mary Lou Johnson Hardin County District Library or the Scioto Junction Model Train Club.
