He was predeceased by: his parents, Ethyle Hiner and Harold Hiner; and his brothers, Kenneth and Lawrence Hiner. He is survived by: his wife Ruth Ann Hiner (Starkey); his children, Matthew Hiner (Amy) of Cuyahoga Falls, OH, Kirk Hiner (Tieraney) of Mogadore, OH, Brett Hiner (Kristi) of Wooster, OH and Krista Williams (Kenny) of Green, OH; his grandchildren, Emily, Kage, Ben, Katie, Sophie, Olivia, Sam, Aiden, Addison, Max and Madeline; his sister Susie Brown (Duane) of Ft. Wayne; and his sisters-in-law, Cathy Hiner of Ashland and Lois Stanton of Geneva, OH. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 26th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the First United Methodist Church (220 Sandusky St, Ashland, OH 44805). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 26th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the same location.
