He was predeceased by: his parents, Edmund Mittendorf and Catherine Mittendorf; his wife Roselyn "Roz" Mittendorf; his brothers, Gerald Mittendorf (Shelby), Richard Mittendorf (Ellen) and John Mittendorf; and his brother-in-law Joseph Facsko (Connie).

He is survived by: his daughters, Lisa Anderson (Darryl) of Port Orange, Leslie Farley (Tim) of Ashland and Lorie Feudner (Jim Girts) of Akron; his grandchildren, Mallory Hunter (Ross), Mackenize Miller (Brent), Sarah Witkowski (Joe), Christopher Anderson, Zachary Farley (Sida Wang), Hannah Leon (Logan) and Ben Feudner; his sister Jeanne Gilles (Ray) of Avon; and his sister-in-law Marge Lenox (Arlie). He is also survived by 13 great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Friday, October 9th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Saturday, October 10th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 11:30 AM. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 at 11:30 AM at the St Peter Parish (3501 Oberlin Ave, Lorain, OH 44053).
