He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy Hess and Mable Pauline Hess (Bails). He is survived by: his wife Joyce; and his siblings, Roy Hess (Ann) of Warner Robbins, Georgia, Mary Ann McNaull (Cloyd) of Ashland, Jim Hess (Sharon) of Sarasota, Florida. and Dick Hess. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren.
