Paul K. Schantz Obituary

We are sad to announce that, on February 22, 2026, at the age of 93, Paul K. Schantz (Ashland, Ohio) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Louis Schantz and Cora Schantz; and his brothers, Richard Schantz (Margaret) and Robert Schantz (Billie). He is survived by: his wife Barbara Jean Smith; his daughters, Joy Reep (Jeff) of Ashland, Jane Fiehrer (Tim) of Centerville and Jill Goecke (Brett) of Sylvania; his grandchildren, Joe Reep (Brittaney), Leah Sprague (Patrick), Ellen Whitcomb (Zack), Evan Fiehrer, Alex Fiehrer, Claire Haselhuhn (Ben), Sam Goecke and Abby Goecke; and his great grandchildren, Harold, Pauline Reep, Andi, Amelia, Zayden Sprague, Graham Whitcomb and Cecilia Haselhuhn.

The family requests memorial contributions be made to the Ashland County Community Foundation, in care of Paul and Barbara Schantz charitable fund, 300 College Avenue, Ashland Ohio 44805.
