He is survived by: his wife Carol Obrecht of Ashland; his daughter Kathy Shelly (Steve) of Ashland; his grandchildren, Andy Shelly (Megan) of Ashland, Emily Smith (Michael) of Ashland and Jeremy Obrecht (Sarah) of Atlanta, Georgia; his great grandchildren, Jonathan Shelly of Ashland and Ashton Obrecht of Atlanta, Georgia; and his nephews, Jon Obrecht (Angie) of Ashland and Craig Obrecht (Kathy) of Loudonville.
