He was predeceased by: his stepfather Donald McConehea; his brother Woodrow Layne; and his granddaughter Lydia Mills. He is survived by: his parents, Rick Layne Sr. and Annis McConehea (Fyffe) of Ashland; his children, Alyssa Mills (Ryan), Hailey Layne (Andrew Stephens), Alexis Layne of Ashland and Joseph Berryhill of Ashland; his grandchildren, Nevaeh Layne, Skye Mills and Jasmine Mills; and his siblings, Angela McAbee (Edward), Nanette Akers (Andrew) of Mansfield, Richard Patrick (Sharon), Sherri Imhoff (Dustin) of Polk and Carmen Cox of Ashland. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
