He was predeceased by: his parents, Virgil Lockhart and Margaret Lockhart (Thomas); his son Douglas Lockhart; and his sister Ruth Ann Rodgers. He is survived by: his wife Joan Howison; his children, David Lockhart (Melanie) and Diane Lloyd (Robert); his grandchildren, Nicholas Lockhart (Angela), Mitchel Lockhart, Audrey LeBeau (Chad) and Zachary Lloyd (Marybeth Pancoast); and his great grandchildren, Ellie, Theodore LeBeau, Hudson and Forrest Lockhart.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 26th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Snyder Rodman Funeral Center (101 Valleyside Dr, Delaware, OH 43015). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, September 26th 2026 at 4:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Wayne's memory may be made to the Ashley Firefighters Association, 9821 U.S. Highway 42, Ashley, OH 43003; envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
