Bernard touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his parents, Angelo Melaragno and Antoinetta Melaragno (Billy); his wife Mary Cupido; and his siblings, Joe, Vincent, Edward, Raymond, Albert Melaragno, Ann Nappi and Lucille Colantino.
He is survived by: his daughters, Bernadette Cimorelli (Karl), Jamie Pollack (Michael) and Julie Melaragno (Joe Flahiff); his grandchildren, Kayla Cimorelli, Jake Cimorelli and Jessica Shank (Brian); his great grandchild Penelope Shank; and his nieces, Jaclyn Featsent (Rick) and Janet Fish (Robert). He is also survived by three daughters, three grandchildren and 1 great-granddaughter, several other nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 15th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM at the Czup Funeral Home (1329 Lake Ave, Ashtabula, OH 44004). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Wednesday, October 15th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Mt. Carmel Catholic Church (1220 E 21st St, Ashtabula, OH 44004). The military honors will be held on Wednesday, October 15th 2025 from 2:15 PM to 2:25 PM at the St. Joseph Cemetery (2000 W 19th St, Ashtabula, OH 44004). A burial will be held on Wednesday, October 15th 2025 at 2:25 PM at the same location.
Memorial contributions can be made to St. John School or Rainbow Babies and Children's Hospital.
