He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur L. Allen and Lillian Van Allen (Gordtney); and his siblings, Dirk A. Van Allen and Dianne Wright (Larry). He is survived by: his wife J. Patricia Van Allen; his son Todd Erik Van Allen (Nikki) of North Kingsville; his grandchildren, Zachery Van Allen of Ashtabula and Kyle Van Allen (Anna) of Scottsdale, AZ; and his nephews, Ryan and Chad Helms (Barb).
Visitation was held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Peters Episcopal Church (4901 Main Ave, Ashtabula, OH 44004). A funeral service was held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Ridgeview Cemetery (7205 Austinburg Rd, Ashtabula, OH 44004).
