He was predeceased by: his parents, James Atzemis and Emmaline Atzemis (Kuhn); his son Mark Atzemis; his in-laws, Joseph and Lucy Ray; and his siblings, Emmaline "Patsy" Ensman and Ted Atzemis.

He is survived by: his wife Mary Lou Atzemis (Ray); his children, Marcia Fortune (Rob) and Michael Atzemis (Tina Newsome); his daughter-in-law Jennifer Atzemis; his grandchildren, Paige Atzemis (Que Gray), Austin Atzemis, Matthew Atzemis and Kaitlyn Flint; his great grandchildren, Dominic Zavala, Karter Gray, Danial Atzemis and James Atzemis; and his brothers, James Atzemis (Sue) and Paul Atzemis (Lois).
