He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald Laird and Barbara Slocum; and his wife Diana Laird (May). He is survived by: his children, Michelle Scheanon (Rick), Heather Purdue (Eric) and Robert Laird (Stephanie); and his brother David Laird (Linda). He is also survived by seven grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren.
