He was predeceased by: his parents, Eddie Tackett and Kay Tackett; his daughter Erica Tackett; his grandparents, George, Martha Tackett (Newsome), Frank and Imogene Getce (Dunkle); and his siblings, Joey Tackett, David "Shorty" Tackett and Dale Tackett.
He is survived by: his daughter Tricia McCoy (Brian); his grandchildren, Kayden and Jaxon McCoy; his brother Michael Tackett; and his nieces and nephews, Joey, Julian, Justin, Ashley and Kristen. He is also survived by his family, friends.
A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, September 17th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Lake Erie Cremation & Funeral Services (1500 Harpersfield Rd, Geneva, OH 44041).
