He was predeceased by: his parents, Milo Slanina and Edith Slanina; his brother Richard Slanina; and his daughter-in-law Linda Slanina. He is survived by: his wife Sanna Slanina; his children, Frank Slanina III (Michelle), Barbora Caponi (Philip) and Stacy Smothers (Marc); his grandchildren, Shane Slanina (Marija), Heidi Legg (Timothy), Craig Slanina, Quintin Caponi (Katie), Kaleb Smothers (Nikki), Alexis Caponi, Kyle Smothers, Rio and Riley Caya; and his great grandchildren, Jase, Aubree Legg, Haisleigh Johnston, Harper Smothers and Gabe Fowler.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to be sent to the Hospice of Western Reserve.
