He was predeceased by: his parents, Alfred B. Slaybaugh and Marian Slaybaugh (Kuhn); his stepmother Sylvia Slaybaugh (Phelps); his wife Terry A. Slaybaugh (Joslin); his brother Alan Slaybaugh; his stepbrother Terry Schrock; and his brother-in-law Larry Ligget.

He is survived by: his son Cody Slaybaugh; his siblings, Dixie Ligget, Gail Alaniz (David) and Lori Slaybaugh; his stepsisters, Mary Clugh (Donald) and Nancy Lee (Jim); his sister-in-law Stacy Joslin (Kevin Stillwell); his brother Rich Joslin (Lydia); and his pet Rocky. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the family or care of the funeral home.
