He was predeceased by: his parents, John Mackey and Phyllis Mackey; his sister Charla Jean Hudec; his wife Carolyn Jane Mackey; and his son-in-law Jim Young.
He is survived by: his children, Gail Mackey, Mindy Young, Betsy Shields (George) and Michal Mackey; his grandchildren, Shannon Ellison (Bob), Holly Barnum, Aaron Mackey (Johanna) and Craig Barnum; and his great grandchild Jordyn Adams. He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
