He was predeceased by: his parents, John O'Brien and Evelyn O'Brien; and his brother Jack O'Brien (Jerry Hickey). He is survived by: his wife Barbara Sue Pomfrey; his pet Duffy; his stepson Alvin Horton; his siblings, Peggy O'Brien and George O'Brien (Sandy); his sisters-in-law, Valerie O'Brien and Carol Hickey; and his nieces and nephews, John O'Brien, Patrick O'Brien, Bradley O'Brien, Shannon (Mike Yankie), Leslie (Ed Wojtonek), Roxanne O'Brien Troke (Neil Beauregard), Kim Zimmerman (Mark), Doug Hickey, Jeff Hickey (Emily) and Timothy Hickey (Michelle).
