Richard Leroy Vanek Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Richard Leroy Vanek (Ashtabula, Ohio), who passed away on July 5, 2025 at the age of 83. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Vanek and Georgia Vanek (Van Slyke). He is survived by: his children, Troy Vanek (Barb), Susan Phelps (Rick), Judie Brown (Chris), Linda Hall (Terry), Rich Vanek (Michelle) and Mary Vanek (Mark Biscan); and his siblings, Bill Vanek, Mick Vanek (Susan), Mary Dragon (Dave), Shirley Baniewicz (Frank) and Dave Vanek (Patricia). He is also survived by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association or St. Andrews Church.
