He is survived by: his wife Joan Hozian; his daughters, Jennifer Turner (Brian) and Brandi Mathers (Adrian); his grandchildren, Brittany Wilcox (Dalton), Nicholas Turner, A'dria Mathers, Isiah Mathers (Kristaly Montalvo) and Leah Becker (Lindsey); his great grandchildren, Emma Henson and Mia'Lona Mathers; his siblings, Ellen Cline (David), Thelma Timinski (Norman), Jerry Johnson (Kathy), Terry Johnson (Ann) and Jeffrey Johnson (Arisandy); and his little buddy Yuki.
Visitation was held on Thursday, September 3rd 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Czup Funeral Home (1329 Lake Ave, Ashtabula, OH 44004). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Friday, September 4th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Our Lady of Peace Parish (1200 E 21st St, Ashtabula, OH 44004). The military honors was held on Friday, September 4th 2026 from 11:15 AM to 11:30 AM at the St. Joseph Cemetery (2000 W 19th St, Ashtabula, OH 44004). A burial was held on Friday, September 4th 2026 at 11:45 AM at the same location.
