He was predeceased by: his parents, James Clayton (Seleta Catherine Poole-Gill) and Jim; his brother Richard Gill; and his daughter Heather Gill. He is survived by: his wife Julie Gill; his former wife Debra Gill; his sister Sharon Cutliff; his daughters, Cherilynn Amber Lanctot (Dan), Kateland Gill (Justin Adair) and Cassandra Gill; and his grandchildren, Macy, Collin Lanctot, Aiden and Adrianna Adair.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 18th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Oliver-Cheek Funeral Home (420 W Main St, Ashville, OH 43103). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 18th 2025 from 4:15 PM to 5:15 PM at the same location.
