He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph Bauguess and Helen Danese Bauguess (Wiley); his sister Lyllian "Nellie" Helsel; his brothers-in-law, James "Jim" Hocradel and James Boggs; and his daughter-in-law Dorothy Hammack.
He is survived by: his wife Judith; his children, Jodi Liston (Kevin) of Mt. Sterling and Keith Hammack of Palm Bay, Florida; his stepchildren, Brian McCallister (Tami) of Ashville and Mistee Parker (Jason) of Kingston; his grandchildren, Alysha Roy (Johnathan), Weston Tufts, Mac McCallister (Idji), McKenna Barr (Silas), Marek McCallister, Maren McCallister, Landen, Sammy and Malachi Parker; his great grandchildren, Adalyn Roy of Leyton, PJ, Bowen McCallister, Willard and Foster Barr; his sisters, Margaret "Lucille" Hochradel and Ruby Boggs; his brother-in-law Dale Helsel; and his uncle Charles Bauguess. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Sunday, September 27th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Oliver-Cheek Funeral Home (420 W Main St, Ashville, OH 43103). A funeral service was held on Monday, September 28th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the St. Paul Lutheran Church (6046 St Paul Rd, Ashville, OH 43103).
