“Although this is somewhat of a shock, I knew in my heart that when I had not heard from her for some time that she likely was gone. Mrs. Stempel was my next door neighbor for five years in Athens, OH. My husband was a new professor at Ohio University. I was a stay-at-home mom who worked remotely as an editor/proofreader for book publishing companies with three young kids age 4 and under. She was a surrogate grandma and stayed in touch for years. Will always cherish her memory. The Flemisters”
