It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Charles J. Ping of Athens, Ohio, who passed away on July 27, 2021, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He is survived by: his wife Claire; his children, Ann Venable (Jim) and Andrew Ping (Aimée); his grandchildren, Samuel (Bethany), Stephen (Krissy), Katie (Cody) and Jackson; and his great grandchildren, Abram, Penny and Fordham.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be sent to the Ohio University Foundation dedicated to support either the Ping Cutler Scholars or the Ping Institute.
