He was loved and cherished by many people including: parents: John L. Brookhart and Faye Davis Brookhart Sprague; wife: Norvella South Brookhart; daughter: Joan (David) Braatz; son: Danny Lee Brookhart II; sisters: Vivian (Phil) Ridenour, Dorothy Hunter, Theda Ritchie, Florence Sprague and Hallie Vore; brothers: John Brookhart, Carl Brookhart and Thelbert "Sox" Brookhart; officiant: Phil Ridenour; and three grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 17th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Jagers & Sons Funeral Home (24 Morris Ave, Athens, OH 45701). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 17th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Saturday, October 17th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Alexander Cemetery (2150 Hebbardsville Rd, Athens, OH 45701).
