He was predeceased by: his parents, Thelma Ruth McPherson and Walter Lewis Smith; and his son Danny Leon, Jr.. He is survived by: his wife Beverly Kay; his children, Karen Sue, Timothy (Jodie), David (Teri), Jeffrey (Melissa) and Jennifer Ray (Scott); and his brother Don. He is also survived by six grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren.
