He was predeceased by: his brother Ryan Johnson; his grandparents, Jack Hitchings, Donna Lopez (Frank), Waveline Johnson and Woodruff Johnson; his aunts, Marina Winterbotham and Terrie Hitchings; and his uncle Kenny Johnson.

He is survived by: his parents, Ginger Hitchings Edwards (John) of Athens and Christopher Johnson of Logan; his aunts and uncles, Jack Hitchings (Maja) of Hampton, Virginia, Tina Romine (Brad Harter) of Athens, Brenda Malone (Gary) of Logan, Kevin Johnson (Barb) of Nelsonville, Denise Coon (Wendy) of Logan, J. R. and Sis Johnson of Nelsonville; his grandmothers, Virginia Newlun of Nelsonville and Leora Johnson of Logan; his great-aunt Sue; and his uncle Roger Parker of Pleasantville.

The family suggests donations be made to the funeral home to assist with funeral expenses.
