He is survived by: his mother Kathleen Swan Gross Embry; his wife Kandi Kempton Gross; his sons, Nicholas Gross (Jade) and Cory Gross (Madison); his grandchildren, Ashton, Raelynn and Jace; his siblings, Charles (Chuck), Bobby Joe, Patti Machamer (Brett), Kathy Michael, Elizabeth Stevens (Betsy), Mia D'Augustino, Roger, Mike, Chris (Joe D'Augustino) and Larry Barnhart; and his niece Molly Stevens.
