With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Harold O. Brooks of Athens, Ohio, who passed away on May 29, 2023 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his father Raymond Brooks, Sr.; his son Dean Brooks; and his siblings, Cledyth Mahaffey, Raymond Brooks Jr. and Robert Brooks.
He is survived by: his wife Doris Perry Brooks; his children, Roy Brooks (Karen), Luke Brooks (Susie), Brad Brooks (Cheryl) and Wendy Coen (John); his siblings, Rose Ellen Koker and Carl Brooks (Louise); his friends, Tom Lykins and Bud Laport; his niece Joyce Bobo; and his daughter-in-law Carolyn Brooks. He is also survived by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
The family requests those who wish to express sympathy to consider making a donation to St. Jude Children's Hospital or OhioHealth Hospice in memory of Harold.
