He was predeceased by: his mother Helen "Pauline" Liston Hatton. He is survived by: his wife Cindy Smith Hatton; his son Todd; his daughter-in-law Dana Hatton of Richmond, VA; his grandchildren, Shaylene, Austin, Matthew and Sara; his sister Helen Welch (Bobby) of Portsmouth; and his close friend John Murrey of Athens. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
