He is survived by: his daughter Adriana Potter (Pantaki); his granddaughter Mariposa Amaya; his brother Demetri Pantakis; his niece Chryssa Pantaki; his nephews, Polichronos, Panoyotes and Domiono Pantakis; and his friends, Demetrios, Holli and Vasilios Prokos.

“Many wonderful memories of Yianni and calling each other "little brother" because our birthdays were 5 months apart. Yianni would always claim to be "one" on the day of his birth. Thus our debates next door to each other on W. State, behind N. Court, and next to Secure Parking. His goal was to return home to his native Athens.
