He was loved and cherished by many people including : his parents, Edgar Hurd Wright and Dove Wright (Harrell); his wife Karin; his daughters, Leslie Wright (Mike Keneipp) and Avery Wright Yowell (Ryan Yowell); and his grandson Eric Yowell.

Louis E. Wright died on February 7, 2023 at age 82 from complications with Parkinson's.
