He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward M. Scott and Hazel P. Windland Scott; his daughter Cheryl Scott; his brothers, Dorrell "Sleepy" Scott, Virgil Scott and Charles "Bill" Scott; his close friend Martha Crabtree; and his nephews, Brad Mullins (Scott Mullins) and George Shade.
He is survived by: his daughter Kathy Hayes; his sisters, Betty Mullins and Reba Peck; his granddaughters, Shannon Curran (Alvin) and Jessica Hayes; and his great grandchildren, Julian Curran, Jalen Pickrell and Kinley Pickrell. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation was held on Saturday, July 12th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Jagers & Sons Funeral Home (24 Morris Ave, Athens, OH 45701). A funeral service was held on Saturday, July 12th 2025 at 4:00 PM at the same location.
