He was predeceased by: his parents, Kenneth Thurman Bean and Thelma Iona Steele Bean; his former wife Shirley Ann Shaw Bean; his stepdaughter Diana Harvey; his brothers, George Bean (Nancy) and Paul Bean; and his brothers-in-law, Larry Radford, Dick Shaw (Sandy) and Jim Shaw.
He is survived by: his wife June Hardy Koon; his children, Ann Trout (Eddie Woodyard) of Albany, Joy Bean of Albany, Beth Shrivers (Mark) of Athens and Michael Bean of Nelsonville; his grandsons, Andrew Trout (Melissa) of Athens, Levi Bean (Shelly) of Nelsonville, Aaron Trout (Kellie) of Colorado Springs, CO and Zachary Shrivers (Alexis) of Huntsville, AL; his great grandchild Benny Trout; his stepchildren, Linda Collins (Maury Kittle), Michael Koon (Jean) and Liz Hoisington (Dave); his stepgrandson Tyler Hoisington; and his sisters-in-law, Peg Storts, Joy Shaw and Judy Radford. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
