He was predeceased by : his parents, Robert E. Crist Sr. and Mildred Cecil Crist (Jennings); his brother Robert E. Crist Jr.; and his siblings-in-law, N. Ann Crist (Neenan), Eamonn Brennan and Sinead Summerhill (Brennan).

He is survived by : his wife Yvonne Crist (Assunta Ercolano); his children, Tanya Crist, Patrick and Daniel Crist; his grandsons, Alexander, Christopher and Evan Vamvoukakis; his sisters, Ruth Willard (Ross) and Robin Guringo; and his sisters-in-law, Paula Fay (Gerry) and Catherine Wrightstone (Todd).

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in his name to United Cerebral Palsy, the Ohio Innocence Project, or Autism Speaks.
