He was predeceased by : his parents, William Milton and Janet Lucille Dowler Varner; his siblings, Dennis Varner, Gary Varner and Sarah Varner; his nephew David Varner; and his niece Melissa Varner.

He is survived by : his siblings, Rebecca Bailey, Connie Varner, Lisa McCannon (William) and James Varner (Merry). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family request contributions be made to the funeral home to assist with end-of-life expenses.
